Biography of K.C. Liu

K.C. Liu, CEO of Advantech Co., Ltd.

Mr. K.C. Liu is the founder of Advantech Co., Ltd. when the company was established in 1983.

K.C. was born in 1954. After graduating from Taiwan's National Chiao Tung University with a Communication Engineering degree, K.C. worked as an R&D engineer and later joined the Instrument Department of Hewlett Packard (HP) Taiwan as a Sales Engineer. K.C. received valuable experience from these positions and developed skills in the sales and marketing of technical products. K.C. also met the other two co-founders of Advantech while working at HP.

Since Advantech's inception, K.C. has dedicated himself to leading the company's strategies in sales and marketing.

K.C.'s ongoing efforts over the past 21 years have resulted in constant and remarkable growth of Advantech. Advantech has become a world-class company and a leader in Industrial Computing and PC-based Automation business filed.

Recently, K.C. has been strategically guiding the company as it diversifies into ePlatform Services business opportunities, some of which include Web-based automation and eWorld computing. Presently, Advantech has a total of 1800 employees worldwide, with projected sales for 2004 of US$325 million.
