Advantech
Co., Ltd. announced today the launch of PCI-1680U,
a 2-port universal PCI communication card with optical
isolation protection of 1000VDC. The new PCI-1680U
offers a cost-effective solution for the connectivity
of the Controller Area Network (CAN) to the PC.
The card can operate two separate CAN networks at
the same time as both the onboard CAN controllers
can be run independently. With its built-in CAN
controllers, the PCI-1680U provides bus arbitration
and error detection with an automatic transmission
repeat function. This drastically reduces the chance
of data loss and ensures system reliability. |

series with the IPPC-9120G, a rugged 12.1"
SVGA TFT LCD display computer. The Advantech IPPC

Advantech
today introduced a new member to its family of analog
PCI input cards. PCI-1747U has 64 simultaneously
sampled analog input channels, 16-bit resolution,
and a 250 kS/s sampling rate. Unlike many cards
in the market, PCI-1747U can run at 250 kS/s even
when different ranges are used simultaneously on
its 64 channels. For engineers that have been without
critical instruments because of recalibration, there
is a particularly welcome feature; a built-in auto-calibration
function makes calibration easier, so recalibration
downtime can be reduced from weeks to minutes. |

today launched a motion control card with four axes
for complex motion control and MotionNet™support
for 2048 digital I/O connections and 64 load/unload
axes. The four main motion control axes can be used
for 4-axis linear and 2-axis circular interpolation,
position compare and trigger output, as well as
a manual hardware operation functions. PCI-1247
has a unique design that combines advanced 4-axis
motion control with the distributed motion control
features of MotionNet in one card. This makes the
