Advantech X-Ring



	The X-Ring redundant architecture allows one switch in the ring to be the Primary Ring Master. One path of the Ring Master is the forwarding path, while the other is the backup path. If one links fails, the Primary Ring Master automatically activates the backup path within 10ms, the fastest recovery time in the market!


	In some industrial environments, it may not be convenient to connect all devices within a single collision domain. Advantech's Dual Ring is a flexible topology which can connect 2 distributed X-Rings together and provide multiple paths. Communication between the rings can still operate even if one path fails.


	Advantech’s Quad Ring is a flexible topology which can combine 4 adjoining X-Rings into one central switch. This provides centralized management and saves costs.
