The
Industrial Automation Group of Advantech is very
pleased to introduce the 6" FPM-3060G. The
new flat panel monitor has high luminance, a compact
design, and is easily integrated with UNO-2000
and MBPC-200 products for an all-in-one industrial
panel PC solution. These unique functions and
its rugged enclosure make FPM-3060G very suitable
for the machinery market. The competitive price
is also a strong side of this product.

Advantech's
new OPT8FP is an 8-port RS-422 to RS-232 converter
connection box with 2,500 VDC isolation protection.
Supporting up to 1.2 km (4,000 feet), and a baud
rate of 230.4 kbps when transferring RS-422 signals,
it enables communication between an RS-232 card
and up to eight RS-422 devices in the field.

With
four RJ-45 connectors for RS-232 communication,
Advantech's new PCI-1610AJU is designed for applications
like automatic telling machines (ATM), which usually
need many RJ-45 connections. The card's interface
is universal PCI for compatibility with old 3.3
volt as well as new 5 volt PCI BUS, and with a
length of only 123 mm, the card helps create more
compact ATM installations. The card is also the
first serial communication from Advantech that
supports Microsoft® Windows® XP Embedded.

periodically upgrades drivers to add support for
new hardware. To make sure you have the latest drivers,

Advantech
has this month released ATM-4233, which
is an all-in-one chassis for industrial
automation platforms. Traditional IPCs need
to be connected to a keyboard and mouse
for control, and a monitor to read measurements
or other information. ATM-4233 conveniently
combines LCD display, keyboard, touch pad,
function keys, cursor keys and OSD control
in one unit, for a more cost-effective application,
and when there is not much space for a normal
IPC setup. |

announced today the launch of PCI-1622CU,
an 8-port RS-422/485 Universal PCI communication
card for both 3.3 and 5 V PCI bus systems.
Offering solid surge and isolation protection,
the card is engineered for long-distance
outdoor communications in harsh environments. |

With
10 MS/s synchronized sampling over four channels,
the latest analog input card from Advantech is designed
for demanding high-end applications like vibration
testing. For optimal performance there are four
8 K FIFO buffers, and four A/D converters, so each
channel can simultaneously reach 10 MS/s. |

A
major telecommunications company in the U.S.
needed to automate and increase the effectiveness
of its security system. In the past, they
issued keys to employees for room-to-room
access, and had guards posted throughout hallways
to secure all areas. Today, they've implemented
a facility-wide card-access system that allows
them to control access with great detail and
limit the number of guards on duty. The system
includes UNO-2160 provided by Advantech and
software supplied by a local vendor. |

a 4-port RS-232/422/485 Universal PCI
communication card for both old 3.3 and

a 128-byte FIFO, the card has good performance,
