The first conference was held in Beijing,
China from 18th to 21st May, and the second
was held in Cincinnati, USA from 2nd to 4th
June. The two events attracted over 300 system
integrators, channel partners and key accounts
from all over the world. Both events were
given great feedback by the attendees, and
are certainly going to be repeated in the
future. |

introduces the FPM-3150G series of 15" LCD
industrial monitors, including FPM-3150G-U, which
is its first flat panel monitor with USB interface
for the touch screen. The Plug & Play feature
offered by USB makes configuration of the touch
screen simpler and faster than with the more common
RS-232 interface offered by FPM-3150G-R.

PCL-818HD has been a very popular multifunction
card for many years, so it is with great expectations
that Advantech now releases its PCI equivalent
called PCI -1718HDU. PCI-1718HDU has been designed

software compatible.

producer of sock machines in China needed to create a
new model that could store more patterns and allow quicker
change of these patterns. After finding two products that
almost matched the required specifications, Advantech
helped customize the products to give them a new form
factor and perfect fit for easier system integration and
improved reliability.

Car Wash Application Story |

| With
rising wages and 24/7 service expectations, a leading
chain of gas stations in Taiwan decided to create a self-serviced
car wash. This required that the system was fully integrated
with payment systems such as credit cards, cash cards,
Modex, stored value cards and membership cards. But the
first attempt failed since the operator interface was
not visible in sunlight. With the new FPM-3100HA-R and
UNO-2160, the second attempt at the application has been
successful, and the customer is already busy developing
new features. |

dozen cameras placed all throughout its facilities.
They wanted to reduce the amount of video
that was recorded to save disk space, and
cut down on the time needed to review the
videos. Advantech's UNO-3062 was found to
be a reliable, simple, and cost-effective
platform that could improve the efficiency
and performance of their camera monitoring
