The 2007 Computex Taipei show is from June 5th to 9th. Advantech will design 3 major themes: ePlatform Solutions, Vertical Markets and Customization Services under the topic, "Trusted ePlatform Services." Advantech will display 6 major vertical market product lines and many new products to consolidate Advantech's industrial PC leadership and revitalize the global IPC market. The Advantech booth will be located in TWTC Hall 1 (526, 526A, 532 and 532A).

　

ePlatform Solutions to Deliver Advantech's Trusted ePlatform Services

　

Advantech will display its Industrial Communication Platforms, Industrial Motherboards and Embedded Computing Platforms. ARK-4170 and ARK-6350 Embedded Box Computers are the focal point this year. ARK-4170 is a vibration-resistant, rugged and fanless product. ARK-6350 has a Mini-ITX motherboard. For telecom applications, Advantech will show an array of single board computers and processor-blade solutions, including the MIC-5301 AdvantechTCA processor board with high-performance and power efficient Dual-Core Intel Xeon processors LV. Meanwhile, the first network processor (NPU) based platform, the FWA-7120, will also be showcased here.

　

Advantech is also displaying an impressive industrial motherboard lineup that includes highly integrated and expandable Mini-ATX to ATX form factors. Advantech’s Mini-ATX embedded motherboards debut at Computex this year. Mini-ATX motherboards are 25% smaller than MicroATX while retaining compatibility with MicroATX. Furthermore, the SOM (System on Modules) Design-in Services provide a robust line of value-added services that feature SOM products, design assistance, thermal validation and software services that help customers expedite their own carrier board development.

　

New Application Ready Platforms Enter New Vertical Markets

　

The Application Ready Platform (ARP) has been invested with a more significant role in Advantech’s overall product strategy. ARPs to be exhibited by Advantech this year will span medical computing, video surveillance, digital signage, UbiQ eHome and industrial mobile computing markets.

　

For Medical Computing, Advantech will display the POC-S155. The POC-S155 spill and dust resistant design has passed UL 60601-1 and EN 60601-1 certifications and enables film-less operation. For video surveillance, Advantech will show an open and highly integrated PC-based hardware platform that includes a video capture card and PowerView surveillance software; and the DVS-355 Mobile Digital Video Platform with Intel Core Duo mobile processor. Moreover, Advantech UbiQ eHome Solutions will demonstrate the full UbiQ product lineup, including Scenario Control Panel (UbiQ-230) and Mobile A/V Remote Control (UbiQ-350). Advantech will also exhibit a full range of digital signage solutions, from cost-effective RISC-based to high performance x86-based architectures to ensure the successful roll-out of customers’ signage networks.

　

Advantech also provides an array of mobile computing products, including Vehicle Mounted Computing products, Rugged Handheld Terminals, and Industrial Tablet PCs. The MARS-3100R has a fanless design, proven industrial-grade dependability, wireless communication modules and powerful computing capabilities with support for the latest Intel Core Duo Ultra Low Voltage U2500 CPU.

　

Lastly, Advantech is launching the EKI-7659C, EKI-7656C and EKI-7758F easy-to-manage industrial Redundant Ethernet Switches with Gigabit Fiber combo ports. This EKI series of managed industrial Ethernet switches feature “X-Ring”—a redundant ring technology with the fastest (10 ms) recovery time in the world for non-stop communications in automation systems. For efficient network control, the EKI-7659C/7656C/7758F provides advanced management and security functions. The industrial grade design of EKI-7659C/7656C/7758F assures reliable communication in harsh industrial environments.
