Dual-port 10/100Base-T Ethernet Interface for High Speed Networking
FMS-3250 has two Ethernet ports. You can use one port for connecting
upward network and the other for fast Ethernet interface I/O system with speed
and security concerns. It is also able to act as redundancy solution in
networking.
Four RS-232/485 Interface for Flexible Device Connection
FMS-3250 has four RS-232/485 ports allow you to connect rich RS-232/485
devices and I/O modules. FMS-3250 has two RS-232 ports and two RS-485 ports.
RS-485 ports features 2500VDC isolation and 2000VDC surge protection. In RS-485
interface, each port utilizes a 16C550 UART with an on-chip 128-byte FIFO
buffer for reliable and high speed serial I/O. It also features automatic data
flow control that each port automatically senses the direction of incoming data and
switches its transmission direction accordingly. This feature lets you simply
and quickly build an RS-485 network with just two wires.

FMS-3250 has two Type I/II CompactFlash card slots and one 2.5” HDD
space reserved for large volume data storage. Each device can be Master or
Slave device by jumper setting, and you can enable two of these three devices
on the same time.

FMS-3250 is a fully x86-compatible, Pentium-300 grade platform that
offers Windows CE 3.0 and Real-time Linux ready solution to fulfill your needs
in embedded applications. In addition, FMS-3250 also offers 2.5” HDD

95/95/NT and 2000.
Great Peripherals Extension Capability via USB and IrDA
There are one IrDA, two USB ports in FMS-3250 for you to connect
versatile USB interface peripherals and to communicate with mobile devices
through IrDA.

Automatic power failure detection: Advantech FMS-3250 has one
digital input channel to connect the power signal from UPS. When the power is
failure, the power failure LED indicator shows the status, and the event occurs
to trigger your software to do emergency handling.
In-chassis Temperatures Diagnosis: Advantech FMS-3250 builds in
a digital temperature sensor inside the chassis. It allows you to set the
proper temperature range. When the temperature inside the chassis is out of the
setting, the event occurs to do emergency handling. This function is very
useful in tough environment with large temperature change.
Fanless design: FMS-3250 is a fanless solution. To dissipate heat efficiently without
fan, FMS-3250 has sophisticated design in its Aluminum chassis.
